The key to getting rich fast is having a team that is completely invested in the success of your practice. The consultants at Bryant Consultants believe If you want to create a culture and environment where your team is fully invested in your success, invest in them!

People want to know that you genuinely want to invest in them and to see them succeed. And they want to feel this both professionally and personally.  They want to know you care. This is human nature. The key component in this is it must come from a place of genuineness and sincerity, not from a place of, “What is in it for me?”.  When an individual truly feels that you are investing in them, they will reciprocate by investing in you and your practice. You are also building their resume and their skillset to support adding additional services to your business. This, in return, adds to your bottom line!

Some key factors in investing in your team are reduced turnover, attracting new talent, creating a healthy culture for your practice, and added productivity.

When a team of individuals feels like their employer values them enough to invest in them, they do not want to leave!  Everyone wants to be valued! In today’s society of job-shopping for more money, it is crucial that you create an environment that makes employees want to stay.  When you send employees to continuing education courses or seminars, you keep them engaged in the practice of dentistry, engaged with one another, and engaged with you, the employer.  The consultants at Bryant consultants agree engagement breeds success!  Why would anyone want to leave a job where they feel valued, engaged, and appreciated? They won’t!

An employee who loves their job will talk to others about it. Dental professionals are a tight-knit group. When a team member talks about how much they love their job and how much their employer invests in them and promotes a healthy culture, other talented dental professionals will want to be a part of that team.  You will not have to look for new team members with great skills; they will come to you!

A team that is appreciated for individual efforts, as well as group effort, creates a super healthy culture. When people feel appreciated and feel that someone is truly invested in them, they are HAPPY! They want to be a part of the success of the team, the patients, and the practice.  A healthy culture is key to success. One of the biggest successes of a healthy culture is that not only does the team feel it, but the patients can also!  They feel and notice it, and I assure you they talk about it to their friends!  It’s free marketing!

If you invest in your team members individually and as a team, you will 100% see a return on that investment. It can mean added services to provide your patients because you have the team to support these services, which means more revenue.  Retaining employees because they are happy to work with you reduces turnover, saving money.  Not having to invest money in ads seeking new hires will save time and money.   New talent will hear about how wonderful it is to work with you, how they have opportunities for growth, and how they will be valued, and they will seek you out.

There are many ways you can invest in your team.  It can be continuing education, retreats, team builders, seminars, conferences… It can be a 5-minute conversation to ask, “How are you doing?  I ask because I care”.  A valued, happy, healthy team member will always be more productive.
