make google reviews easy for customersYou’re only as good as your reputation. This is especially true if you own a business. Online reviews can make or break your business; good ones are an asset that can help drive future clientele to you, while a bad review could be a public relations nightmare. The more positive reviews your business has on Google, the better it will be for your business and its future prospects. Bryant Consultants wants to explain how you can create direct links to your Google reviews, which makes submitting these reviews much easier for your customers.

Why are Google reviews so important?

This is because these reviews also show up whenever someone looks for the physical destination of your business through Google Maps. In addition to your address and a link to navigate the route there, one of the first things a searcher will be is the Google reviews for your business. These reviews can be a major determinant of whether or not they will become actual customers.

It’s not easy to get people to write a Google review

Why is this? For one, Google doesn’t have a readily available, easily intuitive way for users to submit these online reviews. You could try contacting satisfied customers directly and provide instructions via email for them to submit a review for Google, but the instructions would be so long and detailed that very few people actually would follow through and complete the review.

Luckily, we’ve cut out the guesswork and the headaches to make this process easier.

First, use Google’s PlaceID Lookup Tool

This allows you to identify the specific identification code Google uses to find your business.

Next, enter your business name

In the “enter a location” field on the PlaceID Lookup Tool, enter your business name exactly as it reads on the Google listing for your business. Once your business appears on the screen, you also will see a Place ID, which will look like a series of letters and numbers about 25 characters in length. Copy the code and paste it somewhere you will be able to access it, at your convenience.

Enter your Place ID into this URL:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=

Now, after the equal sign, paste in your Place ID.

Send the review link to your customers

Ta-da! Your newly created link can be sent directly to your customers. Once emailed to them or promoted via social media, each user will have a window appear in their browser, making it easy for them to leave a review, as long as they currently are signed in to their Google account. This will generate more feedback for your business and, since the people on your email list probably already are satisfied customers, it means more favorable response to your business and the goods and services it provides.

Maybe you’re uncertain about how to use email and social media to promote these Google reviews. Perhaps you’re struggling to adapt to the digital age in general. As a business owner, you have to do a lot, but no one can do it all. That’s where Bryant Consultants can be an asset.
