We’re always looking for new ways to grow our following, promote our business and engage with patients. And some days, it feels overwhelming to decide what to write or post.  We devised a few ideas to help increase your social media presence. We hope they inspire you with good ideas for your office and team!

  1. Consistent Posting Schedule: Regularly update your social media platforms with engaging content. Consistency helps keep your audience engaged and informed about your brand.
  2. Quality Content Creation: Focus on creating high-quality, valuable content that resonates with your target audience. Use a mix of text, images, videos, and other multimedia to keep your feed visually appealing and diverse. And we all know that patients love posts that include the doctor and/or team!
  3. Engage with Your Audience: Actively engage with your followers by responding to comments, messages, and mentions promptly. Encourage conversations and feedback to build a sense of community around your brand. This is fun; post something that requires an answer and then ask your team to engage in your post. Your patients will be happy to engage with their favorite assistant/team member.
  4. Collaborate with Influencers: Partner with influencers or other brands in your niche to expand your reach and attract new followers. Influencer collaborations can help expose your brand to a broader audience and lend credibility to your social media presence. You will know who your patients are that are maybe loud, engaged in the community and have a good social media following. Figure out how to work with or engage with this person!
  5. Use Hashtags Strategically: Research relevant hashtags related to your industry and incorporate them into your posts to increase discoverability. However, avoid overusing hashtags and focus on using ones that are specific and relevant to your content.
  6. Run Contests and Giveaways: Host contests or giveaways to incentivize engagement and attract new followers. Encourage participants to like, share, or comment on your posts to increase visibility and reach. You can even partner with a business that aligns with your values and has a great following.
  7. Optimize Your Profiles: Ensure that your social media profiles are fully optimized with accurate and up-to-date information about your brand. Use keywords in your bio and profile descriptions to improve searchability. Make sure you have current pictures – not the graduation photo of your doctor from 1982. You know what I’m talking about!
  8. Cross-Promote Your Channels: Promote your social media profiles across different platforms to encourage followers to connect with you on multiple channels. For example, share your Instagram handle on Facebook and vice versa to attract followers from those platforms. It’s nice to use different content on each platform.
  9. Monitor Analytics and Adjust Strategy: Regularly monitor your social media analytics to track the performance of your posts and identify trends. Use this data to refine your strategy and focus on content types or topics that resonate most with your audience.
  10. Stay Up-to-Date with Trends: Keep an eye on emerging trends and changes in social media algorithms to stay relevant and adapt your strategy accordingly. Experiment with new features and formats to keep your content fresh and engaging.

By implementing these strategies consistently, you can effectively increase your social media presence and grow your audience over time.
